What is a celebrant-led wedding ceremony?
An independent celebrant-led wedding ceremony is a personalised and non-religious way to celebrate your love story. As a professional celebrant I craft a unique ceremony that reflects your personalities, values, and journey as a couple.
Why should we choose a celebrant over a traditional officiant?
Celebrants offer a more personalised and creative approach to your wedding ceremony. We tailor every element to match your preferences, making your day truly one-of-a-kind.
Can we include religious elements if we choose a celebrant?
Absolutely! Independent Celebrant-led ceremonies are all about what resonates with you. Whether you want to include religious, cultural, or spiritual elements, we'll work together to make it happen.
How involved can we be in designing the ceremony?
You're in the driver's seat! It’s important that I get to know you as a couple, and will collaborate closely with you. From writing your vows to choosing readings and music, you have the final say in every detail. But if you prefer surprises, we can do that too.
Is a celebrant-led ceremony legally binding?
No, celebrant-led ceremonies aren't yet legally binding in the UK just yet (although we’re working on it!). This means you'll need to handle the legal paperwork separately at a registry office, just like you would if you were having your wedding abroad. But once the boring legal bit is out of the way, you’re free to have a truly unforgettable ceremony with me.
Where can we have our celebrant-led ceremony?
Anywhere your heart desires! With celebrant ceremonies there are no rules. So whether it's a beach, a garden, a barn, or another venue, I can create a magical experience at the location of your choice.
Can you travel to our destination wedding?
Absolutely, I love a good adventure! I have a passport and am happy to travel to your destination wedding, near or far.
How long does a typical celebrant-led ceremony last?
Ceremony length varies depending on your preferences, but they usually last around 20-30 minutes. However, I’m flexible and can adjust to fit your vision.
Can we have a theme for our ceremony?
Of course! Whether it's vintage, rustic, modern, based around your favourite movie or something entirely unique, I’ll weave your chosen theme into the ceremony for a cohesive and unforgettable experience.
When should we book a celebrant?
It's never too early to secure your celebrant, especially if you're planning a popular wedding date. Get in touch as soon as you're ready to start planning to check availability.
